Large Conference Table Gallery
No matter how many people you need to seat at your table or how complex any other requirements may be, Paul Downs can handle every detail. As a matter of fact, large custom conference tables are our specialty. All of our tables are handcrafted and made in the United States at our workshop in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. Since we customize each table according to the customer’s specifications, you won’t find any of our tables in a catalog. However, you can browse our gallery of large conference tables to get inspiration for how you would like your own meeting room table to look and function. As you’ll see, our craftsmen only use high-quality materials to make one-of-a-kind furniture.
Large Table Building Process
At the beginning of your large conference table project, our specialists will work with you to design a solution that’s perfectly tailored to your meeting space. The design that we present to you will be unique and suit your particular needs. Using an array of advanced techniques and an extensive catalog of materials, we follow a process and collaborate with each other to build the best custom conference tables possible.
Custom Design & Engineering
The first part of the Paul Downs building process involves creating a precise rendering of how your large conference table will look in your meeting space. Our design engineers use a 3D modeling program called Sketchup to do that. When you approve the design, they collaborate with our project managers, engineers, and shop foreman to review the details of the building plans. These plans are passed along to our craftsmen and include a set of files for the CNC router, which is a computer-controlled cutting machine.
Choosing the Best Wood & Other Materials
Our design engineers will choose a selection of materials that will best suit your large conference table. However, our project managers will provide some samples so that you can make the final decision. Then, our woodworkers will look through the woodpile to find the most suitable pieces for your project. The wood that they choose has the ideal color, knots, figure, and other characteristics for the table parts that they need to make. Much consideration goes into the glass, laminate, metals, and stone that we use too.

Table Parts & Initial Assembly
Every step of the Paul Downs handcrafted conference room table building process occurs in the United States. Our craftsmen use a CNC router to cut each piece of your custom table. Since the machine is so precise, using it ensures that each part fits together without flaw. The woodworkers use other machines to drill and shape the wood and metals as well. Nevertheless, our skilled staff sands, glues, and fits every piece together by hand. Then, we assess the initial assembly for quality, including the hardware.
Finishing Touches & Inspection
Your large conference table must be sealed to protect it from wear and tear. Finishing the wood also enhances its natural beauty. You can choose from a range of finishes and even decide how we apply them to minimize or add texture. Aside from stains, we can use paints and dyes to make the wood any color. Furthermore, we can use various finishes on different parts of your table, allowing you to mix the colors and textures. Afterward, the table is assembled for a quality check.

Packing & Shipping Your Large Conference Table
Before your large conference table is shipped, we disassemble and clean every part. Then, we wrap each piece in foam and cardboard, reinforcing the edges with protectors. To secure everything to a pallet, we use steel straps and shrink-wrap. Next, we label every part and assemble an outer wall around the pallet before putting it on an LTL truck that delivers it to you or an installer. In any case, you never have to worry about hidden fees or costs because we provide upfront pricing.
